Merry Geller to Me!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

If you've read much on this blog, you know I absolutely love me some Laura Geller. It's one of my top two or three cosmetic brands if not my absolute favorite. Late last week I got the email from the Laura Geller website announcing a 'secret sale' and a link to it. Ugh, and I'd just resolved to stop buying for...an indefinite period of time.

Well, I realize every person who ever purchased directly from the website got this same email but oh, my goodness! What deals they were having! Up to 75% off! Too bad I didn't have more $ to spend, but I was trying to be good and not to lose my mind. I sure got some bang for my buck though!

Naturally, by the time I made my way to the web page, they were sold out of several things I would have loved to have gotten, such as extra Balance n Brighten in Fair. But, not a huge problem...I also can wear Medium; in fact that was the original shade I wore for years before deciding to try Fair.

At any rate, I made a small killing and scored a couple of BnB backups anyway! And though there was a glitch in the shipping of my order, it arrived safe and sound and how much fun it was to open! My fellow makeup maniacs, you know what I mean. Though it isn't a patch on some of the excessive 'hauls' they show online, here's what I ordered:

The Tuscan Sun kit (a 2015 summer release) which was on sale for only $22.80 discounted from $49. It included full sizes of:
  • Balance n Brighten in medium [retails $33}
  • Baked Elements Luminous Matte Blush in Siena [retails $31]
  • Spackle primer [retails $30]
  • Baked Brulee Highlighter in Honey Lavender [retails $24]
  • Lasting Love Lip Stain in Tuscan Peach [retails $16]
  • a double ended applicator [retails $25]
  • a cute little straw tote [unknown value]
The Beautifully Nude kit which originally sold for $59 but I snagged it for $29. It includes full sizes of:
  • Balance n Brighten in medium [retails $33]
  • Spackle primer [retails $30]
  • Intense Eyeshadow Duo in Dolce/Raisin [retails $24]
  • GlamLash mascara in black [retails $24]
  • Color Luster Lip Gloss in Cookie Dough [retails $19]
  • a double ended shadow/blush brush [retails $25]
I also ordered two blushes:
  • Pink Blossom Ombre' blush [retails $27.50]
  • Banana Split Baked Cheek Dreams [retails $29.50]
Plus I found a discount code > somewhere < that gave me an additional 25% off! So this entire purchase of 14 full size products (not counting the tote) worth well over $300, I paid only $56 for! Lawdy, lawdy, I love a bargain!

To further justify myself, many of these items have been on my wish list for a long time, such as the Cookie Dough gloss, the two blushes, and the eyeshadow. Plus, I'm flat out of Spackle and I always like to keep extra Balance n Brighten since I go through it pretty fast. It's the only product I ever hit pan on with great regularity.

Woo-Hoo!

If by some chance you've never used Laura Geller products, you've got to try some! Best powder foundation on earth. In my opinion, of course.

You can find her products on QVC, at Ulta, AllCosmeticsWholesale, occasionally on Hautelook, as well as her website. The website frequently has sales so keep an eye out. I have also gotten excellent bargains on Ebay. Several sellers purchase the big kits and then sell the items individually, so I have been able to get some limited edition items at a good price that way, too.

Till next time,

"God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well." ~Voltaire

(^That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it...)

P.S. This post is not sponsored by Laura Geller, nor have I received any gratis product in exchange for this gushing post. I'm just a fan.
