I quit nicotine one week ago today! Here's what's going on:
- I still get the occasional urge but it continues to grow weaker and farther between occurrences.
- The bouts of muscular rigidity have pretty much gone altogether.
- When I get the urge, the biggest help is to grab my empty pen barrel and use it for that hand to mouth impulse and to breathe through it, blow in it, etc. Or even just long, deep breaths over about a ten minute period help a great deal.
- I still have a bit of a cough that seems centered on the right side.
- My sense of smell has returned somewhat.
- No change yet in my sense of taste that I've noticed. (Does that mean I'm tasteless? Well, sometimes yes. Haha!)
- That little devil is sitting on my shoulder telling me, "You could have just one, you know. Just one puff. It would be ok." I say, "Get thee behind me, Satan!" (I'd really like to clock that little %^#*& just once. Especially since he looks exactly like that mastermind of evil, Donald Trump.)
Anyway, am continuing to fight the fight!
